Wide walking trails & nature boardwalks through a historic rice plantation, swamp, marsh, and forested area. The interpretive center has great displays of the history and wildlife. This is my favorite nature location in the Charleston County public park system.
Entry is a steal at $2 a person. This place is such a gem. So quiet, barely anyone on the trails so you can really enjoy nature. We saw a baby gator, squirrels, tons of waterfowl, and numerous types of plants. The boardwalk was absolutely breathtaking. The guy manning the front desk was super informative as well. I think this might have been my favorite part of our trip to Charleston.
It's scenic, quiet, and the trails are an easy hike.
Lots of different trails waiting for you to explore. I've seen snakes, alligators, bald eagles, frogs, lizards and more during my trips to this Charleston Country Park.
Lots of trails and information signs. Lots to see and well worth a visit if you like nature. Friendly people who seem happy to work here and share.
